I have already received by MSA and am now ready to begin searching for an internship with a licensed CPA firm in order to qualify to sit for the State CPA Exams. If anyone can offer assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Congratulations on getting your degree and welcome to our community!
It sounds like you have the education part of the licensure process taken care of. Now, you’ll need to complete the exam and experience requirement for the state in which you want to be licensed. Make sure you know what those requirements are upfront by checking our state’s requirements section. You will also find your state board’s contact information on that page for you to reach out to them and make sure you’re on the right track.
It is crucial that you know what type of experience your state board will accept for licensure before you start your job search. Whether it’s an internship or full-time job, the important part is that you’ll be able to get that coveted CPA license within a reasonable period of time.
Since you’re in exam land, take a look at the Exam & Licensure section of the website. You’ll find articles on preparing for the Exam and things to consider after you pass.
And start planning out your exam and licensure milestones now using our Exam & Licensure Timeline.
We wish you the best of luck and look forward to celebrating your accomplishment once you pass that CPA finish line!
