The Bea Sanders/AICPA Innovation in Teaching Award recognizes the successful teaching practices in the first sequence in accounting that pique students' interest in accounting and pursuing a role in the CPA profession as a career. Recipients are selected from the pool of accepted submissions to the AAA's Effective Learning Strategies Forum. The winner(s) and honorable mention recipient(s) will be asked to present their work at the following year's Conference on Teaching and Learning in Accounting (CTLA). The recipient(s) is/are presented with a plaque and award prize totaling $2,500 funded by the AICPA.
Winning lessons and related materials for all AICPA educator awards are available for download to AICPA members through the Accounting Professor's Curriculum Resource.
In order to be eligible for the award, you must fully submit electronically all materials requested by Thursday, May 1, 2014. Winner(s) and honorable mention recipient(s) will be notified at the AAA Conference on Teaching and Learning in Accounting.

*Submission written in third person is preferable.
**The teaching practice may not be a commercial product for which the faculty member has a financial interest.
***It is at the discretion of the judging committee to follow-up with any award applicant if additional information is required. Communication may be made through a video conference, phone call or email.
