I have done several things that were required for earning a badge (i.e. just registering) but my account still says i don't have one. What's up?

Andy-That was a great suggestion!
One of the first badges that you can earn is the AICPA Student Affiliate Membership badge. You can receive it by going to your profile and clicking on the AICPA Student Membership box on the right-hand side of your profile (Click here to apply).
Once you have completed your Student Affiliate Membership Application and verified your email, you will receive this badge.
The more activity you have within the community, the more badges you will be assigned. If you continue to have issues with receiving your badges, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.

I'm not certain, but I believe it may be because you have not signed up for AICPA membership. In creating an account on this website, you had a check box on the bottom of the first page of the application to become an AICPA member.
If getting the badges is important to you, I recommend emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.

I have noticed the same thing. While I am registered as a student member of the AICPA and have been active here on the site, I have no badges.
I have the same problem. How do the badges work or not work?
I also applied for scholarships and am an affiliate member of AICPA. How does my wall get updated? Is it self-updated or centrally located?
I also have noticed that I don't have any badges, although I am a registered student member with AICPA. I don't even have the welcome badge... :(
Now it is working partially. I have several of the badges for which I am qualified, but not all.
You may want to check (edit) the settings on your profile. Double check is all the boxes that would help you to earn badges (based on your activities) are enabled.

Yay, my badges are starting to work now :) Thank you to whoever fixed it!!
It happened to me too, but after contacting them on their email, email@example.com they promptly corrected the issue. You may just need to have a little patience and do your part, in the process.
